Concito is a licensee of
the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit
organization whose mission is to build user’s trust and confidence in
the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. This
privacy statement covers the site http://www.concito.net. Because this
Web site wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has
agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy
practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe
If you have questions
or concerns regarding this statement, you should first contact Cynthia
Lacruise at privacy@concito.net. If you do not receive acknowledgement
of your inquiry or your inquiry has not been satisfactorily address, you
should contact TRUSTe at http://www.truste.org/consumers/watchdog_complaint.php.
TRUSTe will then serve as a liaison with us to resolve your concerns.
The TRUSTe program
covers only information that is collected through this Web site, and
does not cover information that may be collected through software
downloaded from this site.
Use of Information
Concito is the sole
owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell,
share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is
disclosed in this statement.
In order to sign up
for our service, a user must first complete the registration form.
During registration a user is required to give their contact information
(such as name and email address) and provide billing information (such
as credit card number and expiration date). This information is solely
used to create users an access account. Your e-mail address is used
strictly for account management purposes, to send critical information
(such as notification of changes to the privacy statement) and to send a
confirmation e-mail when you activate or deactivate your account.
Cookies
We use a
third-party tracking service called SitePal that uses cookies to track
non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site to
limit how many times a audio/video file is played so it is not repeated
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, and to track user's movement. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Links
This website may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that Concito is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Website.
Choice/Opt-out
We will not send users
any promotional marketing materials or newsletters. The only e-mail
communication a user receives is when there is a notification of change
to the privacy statement or to send a confirmation e-mail when you
activate/deactivate your account, or in response to your inquiries.
Concito will send you
system notices from time to time. These notices will inform you of
system upgrades, outages, and other applicable system information. These
types of communications are not able to be opted out of.
Service Providers
We use third parties to provide merchant and credit card services on our site. When you sign up for Concito, we will share billing information as necessary for the third party to provide that service.
These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
Security
Concito takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/login forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as account information), that information is encrypted and is protected with the most widely used encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'. To learn more about SSL, follow this link www.ssl.com
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users' information is restricted in our offices and our service provider's offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our technical team or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate that user's personally identifiable information provided to us. This can be done by clicking on the "Help" link on the homepage and then clicking on the "my Account" link. You will be directed to log in your e-mail address and password.
Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
